Verse 1: A sign shall be given, a virgin will conceive

      a human baby bearing undiminished Deity;

The glory of all nations, alight for all to see

      and hope for all who will embrace His warm reality.

Immanuel, our God is with us,

      and if God is with us,

Who can stand against us?

Our God is with us - Immanuel.

For all those who live in the shadow of death,

a glorious light has dawned;

For all those who stumble in the darkness,

Behold! You Light has come!

The Greeting                                                                                                                                                                             Pastor Ray Eck

Give us grace to heed their warnings and forsake our sins, that we may celebrate and remember the nativity, and may await with

joy the coming in glory of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one Good, forever and ever, Amen.

Call to Worship                                                                                                                                  Pastor Ray and Denise Lingenfelter, Liturgist

Verse 2:  Isaiah 'twas foretold it,

     the Rose I have in mind;

with Mary we behold it,

     the Virgin Mother kind.

To show God's love aright,

      she bore to us a Savior,

      when half spent was the night.

Verse 1:  Lo, how a Rose e'er blooming

     from tender stem hath sprung!

Of Jesse's lineage coming,

     as those of old have sung.

It came, a flowering bright,

     amid the cold of winter,

     when half spent was the night.

Verse 2: So, what shall be your answer, oh, will you hear the call

      of Him who did not spare His Son, but gave Him for us all?

On earth there is no power, there is no depth or height

       could ever separate us from the love of God in Christ.

Immanuel, our God is with us,

and if God is with us,

Who could stand against us?

Our God is with us - Immanuel.

Pastor: This is the promise of God.

Liturgist: For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Pastor: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

Liturgist:Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in Him stands condemned already, because they do not believe in the name of God's one and only Son.

Pastor: This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

Liturgist: Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and will not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen plainly, that what he has done, has been done by God.
